We teach because we are passionate about the yoga and the benefits we have personally experienced from it. We are here to guide you with verbal instructions, to move into each posture to the best of your ability, to help you create physical, mental and emotional change. We focus on your form and alignment, both of which are far more important than the actual depth you achieve in the posture.

What inspired me to try Bikram Yoga? I have always been involved in sports; in particular long distance running, and I have also spent some years as a PT. After many years of high impact activities, I started to suffer from various injuries, back, knees, hamstrings, not major, but enough to interfere with my enjoyment of sport and exercise. This is a frustrating reality for anyone who enjoys keeping fit and healthy. I got stuck in a rut and could not run and improve my times and distances. Somebody mentioned Bikram Yoga, I had never heard of it, and was not really convinced I would like it, I considered myself as someone who was more up for a physical challenge. However I was desperate to find something to balance out my training and increase my flexibility, and hopefully reduce my injuries and constant lower back pain. So I went along to my first class, and my life changed direction immediately.

In 2005 I completed teacher training in LA. Since graduating I have taught at many different studios, my teaching and my personal practice has evolved and continues to do so, on many levels, physically, mentally and emotionally. I am now very excited to own this amazing studio on the Mornington Peninsula. As a teacher and studio owner my philosophy is to guide every student with compassion and understanding, to help encourage every individual to achieve a personal sense of health and wellbeing. It is not only the yoga that has enriched my life, it is the beautiful people I have met and will continue to meet everyday. I am so grateful to have the opportunity to share this yoga and grow our community. My mission is to maintain a studio that is welcoming and healing to every single person.

I started practicing Bikram yoga in 2010 and it changed my life. Since then I couldn’t imagine my life with out it. It keeps me balanced, happy and healthy. I started teaching in 2012. It’s such a joy to guide people along in their journey of this amazing yoga. I also teach the hot pilates and enjoy the high energy and fun environment.

It’s awesome to be apart of such a great place filled with such amazing students and teachers.

I have been practicing Bikram Yoga for 5 years. I started after having a back injury due to surf boat rowing and was addicted. I recently did my Teacher Training in Thailand and have now been teaching for 3 months and loving it! I am looking forward to a long and flexible career in Bikram Yoga. Lock your knee!

Lina Bindles

I started to practice Bikram Yoga in the beginning of 2010 in Amsterdam. I was searching for more peace in my mind, body & life. I just changed from a “study & party” life, to a “working” life. It was a tough time. I didn’t know who I was, where I belonged, what made me happy. I still remember the feeling I had after the very first lesson: “ Wow… this is amazing! I feel so exhausted, sweaty and wet on the one hand, but on the other I feel satisfied, love and a strong calmness.”

And after 3,5 years I did a 100-day challenge and I felt really great! When I practiced Bikram Yoga, the light inside of me started to glow again. Faintly at first, and slowly, slowly, slowly, it became stronger. I felt the power. I felt more alive. I gained feelings of self-worth, step-by-step. I began seeing my body as a temple, something precious I needed to take care of.

I went to Teacher Training in Spring 2015 and quitted my job with a Dutch Bank. After finishing the Training I started travelling and teaching Bikram Yoga in Asia and Australia. It was a real adventure, sometimes difficult & tough and sometimes easy & fun. I learned a lot about myself, meeting many students and teachers, teaching in different studio’s and visiting tropical countries. In 1,5 years I visited Thailand, Singapore, The Philippines, Indonesia & Australia and I have taught in 20 different studio’s. I was a travelling teacher… till I met a very special person about a year ago. My world stopped and suddenly I knew that faith had found me. I was teaching in a studio in NSW and there I met my now called ‘husband’. He was on a holiday by himself but lives in Mornington. To make a long story short, we got married and now live happily together in Mornington. So funny how life can just change if you are open to it. I really believe that Bikram Yoga has made me a more open and conscious person than before.  I love practicing and if I could I would practice it every day.

As a teacher I like to teach a class the way I like to practice it. Full of energy, love, consistent, strong, calming and always ending with a satisfied & grateful feeling.

Anita Hearn

With 30 years diverse experience in the fitness industry I never looked back once I joined the Studio 6 years ago. Everyone here is so warm and welcoming / like a little family.  I discovered Bikram yoga after competing in bodybuilding for many years and discovered I had lost a great deal of flexibility and range of movement. – It was a lifesaver. This encouraged me to gain further knowledge in yoga and it’s practice.

Then I also discovered hot Pilates and I never looked back. It was a perfect fit for me and was compelled to lean and instruct.  I now love sharing my passion, enthusiasm, energy and fun for Hot Pilates in every single class – watching people’s growth and development is truly magical to me and I love meeting each and every one that joins in.

Janine Travaglini

I have always loved being challenged so it was an instant love for Hot yoga when I started in 2012. It became part of my daily routine and enjoyed all the amazing benefits physically, emotionally and mentally. The studio and students are like my second home and family. When “Hot Pilates” started at the studio in 2016 it was a wonderful complement to Bikram that I embraced fully! So in 2017 I was asked to do training to become a teacher at my beloved studio I jumped at the opportunity. I get great pleasure from making new playlists, arranging new sequences and seeing students become stronger and more confident!

Georgina Au

I have been practicing BY for 7 years; I fell in love with the practice immediately and wanted to become a teacher. With 2 young boys I had to set a long term goal and eventually completed TT in 2015. I love what the yoga has done for me and my family; I love the physical, mental & emotional release I experience every time I am in the hot room. This is what I try and share every time I teach.

I did my Hot Pilates training in Feb 2016. I love the fun light hearted energy of Hot Pilates, adding music to make it even more fun.  I think it is a perfect compliment to Bikram Yoga.
